Dog-Friendly Miami: Our Favorite Ways to Spend a Day With Your Pup

Miami has a certain way of making an ordinary day feel like an adventure.

The sun is out.
There's somewhere new to explore.
And, if you have a dog, there's really only one question:

Why leave them at home?

Whether your pup loves a long adventure or is perfectly happy sitting beside you while you enjoy a coffee, Miami has plenty of ways to make them part of the day.

So we put together a little Milo & Me guide to spending a day in the city with your best friend.

Start With a Morning Walk

Miami mornings are one of our favorite times to be outside with a dog.

The temperatures are more comfortable, the streets are quieter, and your pup gets to start the day with something they love most:

going somewhere.

Take your time.

Let them sniff.

Follow a new route.

Find a little patch of grass they've never explored.

You don't need a big plan. Sometimes the best adventures start with a leash and an open door.

Find a Dog-Friendly Patio

After a morning adventure, it's time for a little recharge.

Miami has plenty of cafés and restaurants with outdoor spaces where dogs can join you.

Grab a coffee.

Find a shady table.

Let your pup settle beside you and watch the world go by.

It's one of those simple things that doesn't feel like much until you realize your dog is sitting there next to you, completely content.

That's a pretty good morning.

Tip: Always check a restaurant's current pet policy before heading over, as policies can change.

Explore Somewhere New

Dogs experience a place differently than we do.

A neighborhood you've walked through a hundred times might be completely new to them if you take a different street.

A new park has a hundred new smells.

A different trail means new sounds, people, and things to investigate.

So every once in a while, trade the usual route for somewhere you've never been.

You might be surprised by how excited your pup gets about a place you've never even noticed before.

Make Time for the Water

And then there's the very Miami option:

the beach.

Sand between their paws.

Salt in the air.

The sound of the waves.

A little running.

A lot of sniffing.

And probably a very sandy dog by the end of it.

A beach day can be an incredible experience for dogs, as long as you choose a dog-friendly location and keep an eye on the heat, pavement, water, and overall conditions.

And don't forget the fresh water.

Ocean water is for splashing, not drinking.

Let Them Have Their Own Adventure

Sometimes you want your dog to experience Miami even when you can't be the one taking them.

Maybe your workday is packed.

Maybe you're out of town.

Maybe you simply don't have enough hours in the day.

That's one of the reasons we created The Beach Club at Milo & Me.

We wanted to give our pups the chance to have their own little Miami adventure.

A beach outing.

Time to walk, play and explore.

A refreshing bath afterward.

And plenty of photos and videos for you to see the fun.

Basically, a vacation day for your best friend.

A Perfect Miami Day Doesn't Have to Be Complicated

It might be a morning walk.

A coffee together.

A new neighborhood.

A shady spot to relax.

A little beach time.

And eventually, a very tired dog sleeping happily on the way home.

Because when you think about it, that's what our pets really need from us.

Time.

Time together.

Time to explore.

Time to be curious.

Time to make little memories that somehow become the ones we remember most.

Miami, Through Their Eyes

We spend so much time thinking about where we're going next.

Our dogs remind us to notice where we are.

The smell of a tree.

The breeze coming off the water.

The sound of birds.

A new friend across the street.

A patch of grass that apparently requires ten full minutes of investigation.

Maybe that's why exploring Miami with your dog feels a little different.

They make you slow down enough to enjoy it.

Ready for Their Next Adventure?

Whether it's a neighborhood walk, a little extra care while you're away, or a full beach day, we're here to make sure your pup gets the good stuff.

Because Miami is better with a best friend.
